About 1 million result in death. So in one year about 3000 people die.
In addition to this, about 20-50 million people die in car accidents.
Wait. 20-50 million? How is that possible? There are 6 million car accidents annually, but 20-50 million injured? This just means that there is lots of more collateral damage. So for each car accident, there are more than 3 people injured as a result of that accident.
With this many deaths and injuries, car accidents could be considered an epidemic or even worse, a pandemic. However, unlike the coronavirus, car accidents can be prevented. Although you can’t get rid of bad drivers and irresponsibility as a whole, we can do our part to make driving safer.

Out of the 6 million car accidents, only about 22,000 of them resulted in JUST property damage. This means that almost every accident resulted in something more serious than just property damage. Something as serious as hospitalization or even worse, death.
However, I guess the good news is the death statistics. Of the 6 million car accidents in the US, only about 30,000 lead to death. About 3 million are injured or disabled as a direct result of car accidents. Globally though, about 20-50 million get injured from car accidents.

Amongst healthy citizens, car accidents (which also include truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, bike accidents, and any motor vehicle in general) are the leading cause of death.
